Happy boo to you!

Happy Halloween, everybody! I took this picture of Kathryn one afternoon when she woke up from her nap. For some reason it made me think of Halloween (can't imagine why!?!), so I've been saving it up for this very day!

Here's wishing everyone a happy, candy-filled day!

A Visit from Nana and Papa

Nana and Papa were in town this weekend, and we had so much fun! Saturday started off with a trip to the zoo. Walker and Kathryn enjoyed showing Nana and Papa all of the animals. Here are some pictures from our visit.

More Fall Fun

We had another fun fall weekend! Friday, we decided to make caramel apples. They sure were yummy. Walker and Kathryn enjoyed sampling the caramel almost as much as I did! Lucky we saved enough for the apples!

On Saturday, we went to a local farm for our friend Davis' first birthday. The weather was wonderful, and we had so much fun visiting with friends and enjoying the outdoors!

A lot of catching up to do!

We've got a lot of catching up to do! Tula flew into town last Friday, and we stayed busy from the moment she touched down until she lifted off yesterday afternoon!

Matt and I enjoyed a wonderful date night Friday evening. Dinner was yummy, conversation was uninterrupted, and we loved the time away by ourselves! It's amazing how just a few hours can seem like a long time when you are not constantly tending to and talking over little ones!

The next morning, we took Tula to the zoo. Boy, was it crowded! She enjoyed her first visit, and Walker and Kathryn enjoyed seeing the tigers (Kathryn's pick) and the elephants (Walker's pick). We also took Tula to see the polar and panda bears.

Sunday we went to church, out to lunch at Macaroni Grille and back home for some much needed afternoon naps. Unfortunately, we woke up to a HOT house! Our air conditioning was not working. So, needless to say we spent the remainder of the afternoon outside, where it was cooler than the temps indoors!

Matt was kind enough to let me and Tula out of the house that night for a little girl time. We went to the movies, where it was quite cool I might add, and dined on popcorn, Hot Tamales and Sour Patch Kids. Oh, with a little Diet Coke to wash it all down!

Monday, Tula, the kids, and I ran some errands, including a trip to Marshalls. Walker also went for a check up at the ear doctor. He is now minus one tube. He was such a brave little guy, laying very still as the doctor removed the tube.

We were also visited by the air condition man who informed us we need a new compressor. Of course, they can't install it until Friday, so we're still a little hot around the Busbee house!
After dropping Tula off at the airport yesterday, we came home and made some pumpkin cookies which we displayed on our new candy corn garland hanging in the kitchen! And then we had fun sampling the rest!
