A Quick Look Back

Summer is in full swing around here, but I would be remiss if I didn't look back at the good times we had in May with all of its end of the school year festivities. So hang on, there's lots to post!

The Kindergarten Fashion Show is the highlight of the year for these boys and girls. They dress up in adult clothes and strut their stuff down the runway! Walker was a surfer, Dude! And Kat Lloyd was a modern day princess (think Kate Middleton hence her British flag to round out her ensemble!).

We also finished out our year of AWANAS with a program in big church.  The big kids each said a Bible verse and Miss Frances and the little two year olds (of whom I proudly serve as a teacher:) said a poem!

There was Mother's Day...

And Spring Fling...

Kindergarten End of the Year Party...

School picnic...Here Kathryn was awarded a medal for running the most laps of all the kindergarten girls!  We were just a wee bit proud;)

And finally, the last day of school...

Hello, Summer!  We are so happy you are here!!!

Spring Break 2013, Day 4

Just had to get this last SPRING BREAK (Yes, I know! I'm SOOOO behind) post in! Our time in D.C. was so perfect, I couldn't leave out the last day! We were able to just "live life" with the Smith cousins. We went to Mimi and Devon's soccer games that morning. A strong cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee and a few dozen Munchkins and we were ready for the soccer fields!

After the games, we headed back to the house to pack up and spend our last hours together releasing butterflies and taking silly pictures;)

Aunt Amy drove us into D.C. so we could spend the night there and catch our early morning flight the next day.  Thankfully, we were also able to catch up with my cousin, Chris, and his sweet family!
It was fun seeing Walker and Constantin and Kathryn and Sophia just walking and talking!  We walked through the FDR and Jefferson Memorials and made our way up to Pennsylvania Avenue for a quick bite to eat!

We were blessed to have such an awesome time with our family and in our Nation's capital.  Here's hoping we can do it again one day soon!!!
