A Little More Than Before

This morning we woke up to even more snow than we saw last week. The bad news is that this time it snowed on a Wednesday which meant no school!! Sad for mommy, but the kids seemed to be enjoying it:)

Here they are first thing this morning eating breakfast and watching none other than Sleeping Beauty. Can you guess who chose the movie???

And this is how it looks outside....

So, why is my daughter dressed like this??? Oh, the life of a two year old. I think the expression on her face says it all!

Yea, Stine Small Group!

Today, our Bible Fellowship small group went out to eat after church. We all enjoyed yummy barbeque at Jim 'N Nicks. Here's Walker and Daddy...

And Kathryn playing with baby tiger...

Between our two and the Stine four, there were plenty of little ones enjoying lunch too!

We feel especially blessed to be a part of such a wonderful Bible Fellowship class!

A Musical Saturday

Today, Walker, Kathryn and I went to a music birthday party to celebrate sweet Ali Kate's 2nd birthday. Ms. Courtney led music, and the kids loved it!

Here they are with their egg shakers.

Walker with a drum stick.
Kathryn, the little teapot. See her handle and her spout!

Even little Caroline was in on all of the action!

Walker and Kathryn playing with scarves.

And next was the parachute!

The birthday girl. Happy Birthday, Ali Kate!

Eating birthday yummies...

And Happy Birthday to Gigi, too!

Once in Mobile, Walker and Kathryn were back in their Christmas pajamas and ready for round two of Christmas. Here's Walker holding his new football from Uncle Brad.

And Kathryn loved playing "paper dolls" with Aunt Mak.

Putting together Lincoln Logs with Pops.

Opening all those presents worked up an appetite. Some peppermint ice cream rounded out the evening!

Walker ate yogurt and Cheerios each morning with Tula.

On New Year's Day, we went to Grandpa's house to wish him a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and a Happy Birthday! He was the first baby born on New Year's Day in Mobile in 1932! Pops had another Christmas surprise waiting for the kiddos when we arrived!

Kathryn just started peddling and never stopped!

Here they are with Grandpa!

And here are the Tew men (oh, and one Busbee)!
Next, it was off to Grandmother's house. Walker and Kathryn had fun helping her open her gifts.

Gigi and Uncle Bill gave me an extra special Chistmas present--a night of free babysitting! Mom, Dad, Brad, Makenzi and I enjoyed a yummy dinner at Ruth's Chris!

One of the highlights of our trip was getting to see some old and new friends! My friend Amanda and I haven't seen each other in three and a half years. Three little ones later, we were finally reunited and picked right up where we had left off as we've done so many times before!
This was my first opportunity to meet her sweet Cole. He had so much fun playing with Walker and Kathryn. I'm not sure where Kathryn is in the first picture, but we at least attempted a picture of the little ones!
Mommy and son...
I met Amanda the summer before we started first grade. We've been classmates, roommates, and the best of friends. It was such a joy to see her and Edward and to meet Cole!!

We were also able to meet some more "new" friends. Our friends Bridget and Kenan recently moved to Mobile, and since they've been in North Carolina and we've been in Tennessess, we've only seen them once in the five years since med school. It was so much fun to meet their children, Michael and Anna.
Bridget and I tried so hard to get a picture of all four kiddos, but without much success. Here are Walker, Michael and Anna cooking in the kitchen!
And here are the three big kids enjoying a yummy peanut butter sandwich! What a fun visit. We can't wait to do it again the next time we're in Mobile!

Before we hit the road, we made one more important stop. You guessed it....Dick Russell's. Here's Kathryn enjoying her breakfast almost as much as her Mommy!
