At first glance, absolutely nothing! But Saturday at lunch, I asked Kathryn and Walker if they would like a breakfast bar, referring to the above pictured Kellog's Nutrigrain bar. When I gave Walker his "bar," he began to hold it and say, "blah." Now, to the untrained person, you might just think he was being silly. However, for the last almost two years, we have always said "blah" in referrence to the above pictured Baby Einstein dragon puppet. We actually have the hand puppet, bath towels, videos and books with this little character. One of our Baby Einstein books refers to the "dragon" as Bard. (Although there is some debate as to whether Bard is the dragon or another lizard-like character. Nonetheless, we call him Bard.) And as you seasoned parents know, Bard pops out in Baby Einstein videos and says, "blah."
So, it only took a moment for me to realize that when I asked if the kids would like a breakfast bar, they thought I was asking if they wanted a breakfast "bard!" Hence, Walker and Kathryn holding their "bars" up and saying "blah" for the next five minutes of lunch! So, we are off to the store today to buy more breakfast bards:)
Oh, and if you would like your own Bard puppet, here's one on E-bay.

I sooo love this! Molly Cate is actually scared to death of that thing! She thinks we have "lizards" in our house. She is sometimes scared to go in the living room because she will say "NO LIZARDS!!"
