I have to admit that I have a progression of clothes. With 22 month old twins, some days are what we call "PJ to PJ days." As the name dictates, these are the days we stay in our PJ's all day until that evening when we put on a clean pair! Other days, I do graduate to more formal attire...shorts and a t-shirt or perhaps everyone's favorite black yoga pants and t-shirt. Alas, there are the days I have to get dressed because we are going to Bible study, to the doctor, or to take the kiddos to Moms Day Out (although, I mostly do this in my shorts/yoga pants and t-shirt).
For the latter, I try to keep my wardrobe simple. For example, here is my spring wardrobe....
I know you are thinking I must have made a mistake. Surely, she meant her "spring outfit!" No, I really meant to write "spring wardrobe." Considering, I had this outfit on Monday, Wednesday and I am planning to wear it tomorrow, I think I can safely call it a wardrobe. And just for the record, I didn't wear it Tuesday or Thursday because we didn't leave the house:)
This is very much my style. Solids paired with chunky jewelry, an oversized print purse, and comfortable (but hopefully a little bit trendy) shoes. I would rather spend money on shoes, a nice purse, and a good pair of jeans that I could potentially where everyday than on pricey outfits.
That's why I say, TGFM. Thank Goodness for Marshalls! If it weren't for Marshalls, I wouldn't have clothes to wear. My top in the above picture, Marshalls....$15. Here is a dress and several tops that I hope will take me through the summer (the dress and floral shirt are from....you guessed it, Marshalls!).
And last but not least, my dream wardrobe. Really, most anything from Anthropologie. Especially, this shirt and these shoes or these. And if I had money to throw away, this adorable top. I am also a very big Lilly fan. So, just about anything here will do too:) I really think this dress is cute. And this is too precious! And if I were here, I would want this too!! Hey, since we're fashion dreaming, I had to throw in some vacation dreams too:)
Happy Fashion Friday, and thank you Big Mama for such a fun fashion fiesta!!

I too was rather giddy about today getting here. I think your style is super fun! I love chunky jewelry and shoes too!
love love love all your jewlery :)
Love it all. Cute stuff.
Girlfriend - - - I have been through all these Fiesta posts up to yours (my goal is to finish and comment on them ALL) and I just gotta tell ya - - - using the rocker for your fashion "prop" is one of the MOST original things I've seen today.
Kudos to you!!!!!
Cute duds! I enjoyed stopping by! I hope you can drop in on my fashion fiesta!
I love how you propped your clothes up in a chair!! Very original!
I also love that you, too, have PJ to PJ days and days when you never leave the house. Maybe I'm not as strange as I thought! hehe :)
I think you are very smart with buying the jewelry, shoe and purses and keeping it simple with the clothes. I love the Lilly clothes to look at but you must have a house in South Hampton to be able to afford most of them! At least in my books!
P.S. Your children are PRECIOUS!
I love your style! Your kids are so cute! Good idea with keeping your shirt a solid color and adding a fun purse and jewelry! Have a blessed week!

Love the jewelry!
This is quite possibly my favorite post of all time! As I prepare myself to stay home with a baby, it's always entertaining to hear how other people do things. I, too, have a dream wardrobe I drool over (mostly from Anthro, Kate Spade and J.Crew), but I'm so with you . . . A good pair of jeans, a solid top, fun shoes, and a good purse will take a girl everywhere from the grocery store to a lunch date! And when they won't, yoga pants most definitely will! You are so cute! :)
And I simply cannot wait for the PJ to PJ days ahead for the Aldridge house! Cute name for a fabulous idea!
OK, if this is posted twice...sorry!
Anyway, LOVE IT!! I am very anxious to be out of maternity clothes!!! Can we PLEASE go shopping soon???
